چکیده

The mining planning and design were carried out in PT. Tanjung Alam Jaya, a coal company South Kalimantan. intends to re-mine the Pit X area requires comprehensive mine approach achieve its objectives. study focuses on long-term planning, specifically optimizing pit while considering company's specified stripping ratio limit calculating potential reserve volumes. research aims develop an optimized estimate quantity of mineable reserves based optimization results. findings include layout drawing calculated that can be extracted from design. excavation spans 38.1 hectares, with limits reaching depth -56 meters above sea level. shape extends northeast southwest, length 1,065 variable width 310 460 meters. features slope height 10 single angle 65 degrees. Moreover, haul road measures 21 10% grade. indicates total 1,400,263.48 tons across all seams. Additionally, it reveals 21,565,312.42 bcm overburden / interburden must stripped, resulting 15.40 for specific In conclusion, this demonstrates PT Jaya's efforts optimize their re-mining area. provides valuable insights through approach, aiding achieving objectives adhering limits.

Scheduling in iron ore open-pit mining

During the last few years, most production-based businesses have been under enormous pressure to improve their top-line growth and bottom-line savings. As a result, many companies are turning to systems and technologies that can help optimise their supply chain activities. In this paper, we discuss a real-world application of scheduling in the mining industry. This is a highly constrained probl...

Determination of the largest pit with the non-negative net profit in the open pit mines

The determination of the Ultimate Pit Limit (UPL) is the first step in the open pit mine planning process. In this stage that parts of the mineral deposit that are economic to mine are determined. There are several mathematical, heuristic and meta-heuristic algorithms to determine UPL. The optimization criterion in these algorithms is maximization of the total profit whilst satisfying...

Influence of environmental conditions on the earth pit resistance using earth pit simulator

Introduction: Electrocution is the cause of many deaths in the world annually, that electric current passing between the body and earth can be the reason; thus, it is of great importance to construct the ground protection system using earth pit. This study aimed to investigate the effective environmental conditions on the earthchr('39')s pit resistance using the simulation method. Materials an...

Pit lakes as an end use of mining: A review

Theoretical review of ‘mining pit lakes’ indicates that like natural lakes such lakes display a huge diversity. They are typically in a non-equilibrium state with respect to their surroundings. Hence, at the decommissioning phase of mining operation a detailed technical study are required on different aspects of such created water bodies considering its morphometry, geology, hydrology, water qu...

A New Cost Model for Estimation of Open Pit Copper Mine Capital Expenditure

One of the most important issues in all stages of mining study is capital cost estimation. Determination of capital expenditure is a challenging issue for mine designers. In recent decade, quite a few number of studies have focused on proposing estimation models to predict mining capital cost. However, these efforts have not achieved to a predictor model with reliable range of error. Both of ov...
